Hosiery For Winter
As the colder weather is here you need to start keeping warm and covering up. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to revert to wearing trousers everyday! There are many different types of hosiery which are comfortable and fashionable that you can wear this winter:
Hold Ups: many women wear these as an alternative to tights as they are as comfortable and you do not need a suspender belt to hold them up, not to mention they are just as sexy as stockings! In order to make sure they don’t fall down you need to find the right size for you.
Leggings: Leggings are the popular choice of hosiery nowadays and are often used as a substitute to pants. Why? Because they are comfortable, body friendly and fashionable. Leggings can look tacky however so you have to make sure you are wearing the correct footwear.
Socks: socks are the most common form of footwear which is used to keep the feet warm, absorb sweat from the feet and to ease chafing between the foot and shoe. Socks can be either used as a fashion item or just to keep feet warm in general.
Stockings: These are normally worn because a woman doesn’t want to show her legs. They can change the view that a woman’s leg is slightly tanned or a darker colour can be worn. Stocking also enhance the look of a woman’s leg and can make her feel sexier.
Tights: Tights are worn to cover a woman’s legs and are generally worn with Dresses and skirts. They come in many thicknesses so can be used to make a woman’s leg look a different colour or to keep her warm!
Knee Highs: Knee High Socks are generally worn as they are fashionable. They tend to be worn more with skirts than dresses and also keep’s the legs warm.
Toe Socks: Toe Socks are worn as they are comfortable and fashionable and like all hosiery come in many funky shapes and sizes.
As with all clothes the hosiery you wear depends on what you are most comfortable with wearing. Some women don’t like to wear stocking so they wear tights, others like both! Try wearing different ones to see which is best for you. You never know you might like all of them!
